Chemical Name: ALLYLOESTRENOL


Common uses

This medicine is a progestogen structurally related to progesterone that has been given in threatened and habitual abortion, and to prevent premature labour. However, with the exception of proven progesterone deficiency, such use is no longer recommended.

Directions

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Dosage: one tablet three times a day and maximum up to 4 tablets a day until symptoms improve.

Cautions

Check with your doctor if you have cardiac or renal dysfunction, migraine, epilepsy, and asthma.

Possible side effects

Gastrointestinal complaints like nausea, vomiting, epigastric discomfort have been reported.

If you take too much

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusual drowsiness; rapid pulse; fainting; unusual muscle movement or rigidity of the face, neck, or limbs; seizures; and loss of consciousness.

Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medicine for other health conditions. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and pets. If using this medicine for an extended period of time, obtain refills before your supply runs out.
